Today we left for Dali. Located approximately 320km from Kunming, traveling by bus was estimated to be roughly 8 hours. Xiao didn’t follow us, another guide was arranged and he was Ah Peng. Whatever.

Before taking off, we stopped by a lake to see seagulls. We also crossed the road to witness one of Yunnan’s army camps. A bon voyage ceremony was going on.

Bought this Yunnan Daily. Jacky Chan and Liang Jia Hui arrived Kunming for a movie shoot , one of the waterfalls in Stone Forest.

We missed them by one day.

Back on the road. First half of the journey wasn’t smooth at all. We had to go through some 80km of bumpy roads due to construction. The way was winding. Some parts didn’t have proper railings, with plunging valley just one step away. Yup, it was freaking scary. Apart from that, the scenic hills would be perfect for a pleasant ride.

Close edge, no railing!

Beautiful hills.

We had lots of fun in the bus though. Check out the singers:

And everyone croaked happily...

Before reaching Dali, we went to another JADE and tea outlets. Again, they made us sit through an hour of tormenting tea lecture. It was a research center kononya. A total duration of 4 years is required to finish tea studies. Imagine…burying your head in encyclopedias about leaves. Count me out.

When we reached Dali, it was already 8pm. Had a quick dinner and checked into our hotel. Free activities that night, we decided to go shopping.
